The past month has been a wild and wondrous whirlwind. Between making a brand new, full-length record, playing our color TV debut, and travelling about 4,639 miles, we simply haven’t stopped moving long enough to even clean the bugs off the windshield. The first single/music video will be out late July, and we just can’t wait to show y’all what we’ve been brewing up. It’s a song called “Oh My God,” which was the first tune my writing partner Chad Carson (of The Kid Carsons) and I ever wrote together. Stay tuned for more on this real soon!
So here’s a snapshot of the last month:
May 29-June 12: Recording 12 brand new songs at Y’all’s House under the keen eyes and ears of Commander-in-Chief Jeremy Clark
June 15: Our semi-hometown debut (one day, Tobie Town!) at Kudzu’s in Memphis, TN with The Kid Carsons (our first encore!!!)
June 22: Honest Pint in Chattanooga, TN with our future touring partners-in-crime Andrew Leahey & The Homestead
June 26: The White Horse Tavern in Black Mountain, NC with our new friend Stevie Lee Combs
June 28: Mono Loco in Charlottesville, VA with brother-out-law Luke Wilson
June 30: Solly’s Tavern in Washington, D.C., again with Luke Wilson
The morning after our show at Solly’s we woke up bright and early for our TV debut on WUSA9! You can see how tired we were here. We also got the chance to talk with some new friends over at Nashville-born and bred Southern Manners, who featured us on both their Southern Sessions, as well as a full interview.
We’ll be seein’ y’all again real soon, and this time with some brand new music.
